Firmware Engineering Intern

What is Bob Junior Program:
3-month program where you will be involved in a real work experience via Bob Junior Program, mentored by a well-versed professional in their expertise. 

  • The internship period is between 25 Aug - 25 Nov (3 months)
  • You will receive a stipend of IDR 1,500,000 per month
  • Real life project to add to your professional portfolio

What you will do:

  • Develop and control WS2805 RGB LED driver in firmware.
  • Interface and manage LED Matrix modules (protocol, timing, refresh control).
  • Perform firmware testing and debugging for UNI.FORM 1.0 devices.
  • Participate in QC Tools Design Meetings, contributing test utilities, ideas, or scripts to improve development workflows.
  • Write and submit a Final Report that includes code explanations, test logs, and debugging challenges.
  • Present a Project Demonstration to the IoT Dev team, showing practical outcomes.

You will fit in this job if you:

  • Currently in the last semester or fresh graduate from Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Informatics.
  • Familiar with C/C++ and Python for embedded development.
  • Basic understanding of microcontroller architecture and embedded programming concepts (interrupts, timers, memory).
  • Familiar with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C; Modbus is a plus).
  • Comfortable using development tools like ESP-IDF, PlatformIO, Arduino IDE, or STM32CubeIDE.
  • Eagerness to learn, strong debugging mindset, and disciplined in documentation.
  • Preferably have a basic understanding of FreeRTOS or similar RTOS concepts.
