E-commerce Pricing Analyst
Purpose of Role
The eCommerce Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the development and execution of data-driven pricing strategies to optimize hotel revenue and occupancy. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting pricing, demand, and market data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams including OTA & Distribution Team, Sales, and Marketing to ensure accurate pricing and forecasting across all channels.
What you will do:
- Analyze historical performance data (e.g., ADR, RevPAR, occupancy) to identify trends and opportunities
- Monitor market conditions, competitor rates, and pricing strategies to support informed rate-setting decisions
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track pricing effectiveness and market position
- Support the implementation of daily and seasonal pricing updates based on demand, competitor behavior, and business needs
- Ensure pricing consistency and accuracy across systems and distribution platforms (OTAs, direct channels, etc.)
- Maintain rate parity and compliance with pricing guidelines and promotional campaigns
- Assist in preparing demand forecasts and pricing scenarios to support budget and revenue planning
- Provide data-driven recommendations for pricing adjustments based on forecast accuracy and performance gaps
- Work closely with the Revenue & OTA Distribution team to align pricing strategies with business objectives
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to align promotional efforts with pricing plans
- Communicate pricing updates and performance results to key stakeholders
- Use revenue management systems (RMS), Excel models, and pricing tools to analyze and manage rate structures
- Continuously improve processes and reporting tools to increase efficiency and data accuracy
You will fit in this job if you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- Prior experience in revenue management, pricing, or data analysis is a strong advantage (1–2 years preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, Channel Manager, and OTA Extranets is preferred
- Basic understanding of data tools or BI dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio) is a plus
- Strong numerical and analytical thinking; comfortable interpreting large datasets and performance trends
- Ability to translate data into clear pricing recommendations and business decisions
- Good verbal and written communication skills to present findings and collaborate with Revenue, Sales, and OTA & Distribution teams
- Able to work cross-functionally with departments and OTA partners
- High level of accuracy in managing rate setups, availability, and parity across multiple platforms
