Host / Hostess & Cashier - Bobobox FnB Business
What you will do:
As the host/hostess & cashier serves as the welcoming face and final point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests with warmth and professionalism, managing reservations efficiently, and coordinating with the service team to optimize table flow.
Host/Hostess
- Greet guests promptly with a genuine smile, making them feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter.
- Handle phone, online, and walk-in reservations; update booking systems accurately to ensure efficient table allocation.
- Escort guests to their tables in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth seating flow that balances guest comfort with operational capacity.
- Monitor table turnover and collaborate with the service team to optimize seating arrangements during peak hours.
- Coordinate between the service and kitchen teams to keep guest waiting times reasonable and manage special seating requests.
- Represent the Bobobox FnB business's refined hospitality standards through polished appearance, professional language, and attentive service.
Cashier
- Handle all digital payment transactions with speed, precision, and transparency.
- Ensure all bills are correct, itemized, and presented to guests clearly and courteously.
- Count and reconcile cash drawers accurately at the end of shifts, following company procedures.
- Thank guests warmly, ensuring their final impression is as memorable and positive as their welcome.
- Address any billing concerns or discrepancies promptly and politely to maintain guest trust.
- Maintain accurate payment records and follow all financial control policies.
You will fit in this job if you:
- Minimum high school or a diploma in hospitality/tourism management is preferred
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a guest-facing role within a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment; luxury or fine-dining experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating flow, and payment processes efficiently.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in handling transactions and billing.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance in line with the Bobobox FnB business's luxury brand standards.
- Naturally hospitable, courteous, and attentive to guest needs.
- Proactive problem solver with a positive attitude.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness in handling financial transactions.
