What you will do:

The Data Engineer Intern assists in developing and maintaining data extraction pipelines, primarily through web scraping. You will help ensure data is accurately collected, cleaned, and integrated, supporting the team in maintaining efficient and high-quality data operations.

• Extraction Development
  - Develop and test data extraction scripts using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., Beautiful Soup, Scrapy, Selenium).
  - Implement basic data parsing and initial transformations.
  - Monitor and troubleshoot failures in extraction scripts.
• Data Handling
  - Assist in loading extracted data into staging environments (e.g., data warehouse/lake).
  - Execute basic data quality checks and validation on extracted datasets.
• Team Collaboration
  - Work with engineers on requirements for external data sources.
  - Support senior engineers on specific extraction tasks.
  - Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
